The Farm House @ Hospet

The Farmhouse in Hospet is a classic example of traditional architecture of Kerala. Surrounded by a bunch of coconut trees in the farm, the house sits as an attraction for the people who visit the farm. Flaunting its details which combines a tinch of moderness and more of tradinatility, it easily unites with the surrounding and gives a feeling of nothing less than a resort.

The combination of plastered walls, exposed porotherm blocks, heavy fat wooden columns, sloping roof with mangalore tiles, intricate eaves board and the dark wooden doors and windows add to the richness and elegance of the house.

The interior spaces give a feeling of openess as each space connects the adjacent space. A water body that runs along the dining space also merges with the design and segregates the other spaces. Extensive use of exposed porotherm blocks for the interior walls, kadapa stones as a base for the water body and cotto coloured tiles bring in the warmth and a sense of nature inside.

The traditional styled furniture is more than just a compliment to the interiors and nothing seems out of the place as one relishes the spaces admist the farm.
